About Mrs. Porter

Hi! I'm Devon Porter. I'm from Alabama, which is also where I got my start in Education. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from Auburn University in Early Childhood Education. I am very passionate about teaching and learning, and am looking forward to meeting your fourth-graders and getting to know them and their learning styles throughout the year.

While this is my first year teaching at The 4/5 Academy, I am no stranger to teaching or to this area! I have taught for more than 10 years, and have lived in Georgia since 2002. I currently reside in East Atlanta with my husband, Zach, my two-year-old son Dane, and my lab mix rescue dog Sadie.

When I'm not teaching or spending time with my family and friends, I love to read, listen to music, shop, cook, craft, decorate, travel and take photos.
